Course Fee: $275*
Often called the most challenging yet rewarding scuba training, the Rescue Diver course is designed to make you a safer diver and a better buddy. You’ll challenge yourself with realistic training scenarios and learn skills to help you prevent diving accidents and respond to accidents when they occur.
Students must be at least 12 years old, in good health, and hold a PADI Advanced Open Water / Jr AOW or equivalent certification. Must have completed EFR Primary and Secondary Care or equivalent course within previous 24 months. Course can be added a la carte.
Tanks and weights will be provided. You will provide “personal gear” and basic scuba gear. These items can be purchased with a student discount or are available for rent if needed.
Phase 1 will have you read the Rescue Diver Manual and complete each quiz at home for your convenience. After completing all of the Knowledge Reviews you will sign up for scheduled Open Water training dates.
Phase 2 you will meet with your PADI Instructor for three training days to learn self-rescue and buddy-rescue skills. Your new skills will then be tested in ten scenario based training sessions.
This course can be combined with our CPR, Primary and Secondary training (an additional 4 hours) for those whose CPR certification is not current. The Emergency Oxygen Provider Specialty course can be added to the course and counts as one of the five required specialties for your Master Diver Rating.
